Our Story
We got married young—22 years old—and we were clueless. We didn’t know what we didn’t know. We stumbled into marriage like most couples, unprepared for the weight of it, but determined to figure it out. Over the next 40 years, we raised four incredible children, experienced seasons of wealth and seasons of loss, built businesses, and rebuilt our lives more than once.
Along the way, we discovered that our story wasn’t just about us—it was a calling to strengthen marriages and families around the world. What started as our desperate need to survive as a couple became a mission: to help others thrive.
Today, we bring together professional training, lived experience, and faith-driven truth to offer practical guidance for couples who want to win at marriage, family, and life.
More about Jim
Jim Adams III is a former college football All-American and Hall of Fame athlete who knows what it takes to fight through hard seasons. Over the years, he’s been a successful entrepreneur, building and leading multi-million-dollar businesses, and a certified Marriage Intensive Coach. Jim has personally lost over 100 pounds and walked through the valleys of bankruptcy, only to rebuild again.
Now, he brings his no-nonsense, raw, and relatable style to coaching and speaking. Jim calls himself a “thinking partner” for couples, leaders, and men—cutting through excuses and helping people find strength they didn’t know they had.

Teresa Adams is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Since 2007, she has counseled hundreds of couples across six continents, served as an Adoption Specialist with Bethany Christian Services, and worked as a Mental Health Therapist for Region 8 in Mississippi.
She currently runs a full-time counseling practice while also serving as co-founder of Marriage with Jim & Teresa. Teresa is the compassionate, clinical, and deeply insightful voice of the duo. Whether in one-on-one sessions or across global platforms, she brings both professional expertise and personal vulnerability to every conversation about marriage and family.
